Crowns and Bridges
We offer a variety of materials for restoring teeth that need full coverage restorations. Crowns are often indicated when teeth are badly broken down and a filling will not properly treat the amount of decay present and/or tooth structure missing. Patients have a part in the decision process when it comes to how the final restoration will look, from gold crowns to highly cosmetic options such as full ceramic restorations. Perhaps most exciting is the introduction of our digital impression system. Currently available at our Spring Hill location, this system allows us to scan your teeth for a variety of needs. One of which is crown and bridge work. Gone are the days of the awful tasting, mouth filling, goopy impressions of the past. Say hello to comfortable and fast digital scans!
Implant Restorations
Implants have been around for a while now, but new technologies have opened the door for superior, more esthetic, longer lasting implant restorations. For qualified areas of the mouth, a surgeon places a titanium post in the bone at the site of a missing tooth or teeth; this provides the anchorage for the restoration. After a variable healing time (usually a number of months) to insure proper bone strength, a restoration is fitted to the implant using a custom milled abutment. As a result, spaces of missing teeth can now be restored with very stable, long-lasting, cosmetic restorations that do a wonderful job mimicking the function of real teeth.
Removable Partial Dentures
Several options usually exist for a missing or multiple missing teeth. One of those options is often a removable partial denture that uses the surrounding teeth to support one or more acrylic based replacements. This allows for a less expensive and sometimes less invasive way to esthetically fill edentulous spaces.
Complete Dentures
When an entire arch is missing teeth, one of the most popular options for replacement is a complete denture. This acrylic base accompanied by acrylic or porcelain teeth is custom formed to the tissues of the mouth to create a custom fit. At Heinecke Family Dentistry, we employ several steps to insure that your final product will be as esthetic and function as well as possible. We even offer implant supported options that provide much needed support especially in the lower arch.
